Dimapur Police nab 6 extortionists, 5 drug peddlers in a day

DIMAPUR: As many as 11 people were arrested by Nagaland Police in a single day in Dimapur for their involvement in drug peddling and extortion.

The Dimapur Police has informed it through a tweet on Friday.

"Six EXTORTIONIST arrested on separate charges of extorting money and issuing work permits to non-naga labourers," it wrote.

It added further, "Five DRUG PEDDLERS arrested for carrying/possessing suspected heroin, brown sugar, capsule containing Tramadol."

A stolen vehicle, Bolero pickup, was also recovered from them as police have informed.
