KOHIMA: Nagaland’s COVID-19 tally reached 13,183, with as many as 180 fresh COVID cases reported in the past 24 hours, the highest single-day spike till date.
Dimapur remains on the top with 154 fresh cases, followed by Kohima (24) Mokokchung (2).
In Dimapur, two of the 154 cases involved armed forces/security personnel, 107 returnees/travellers, and 45 traced contacts.
In Kohima, nine were from the armed forces/security staff, and 15 were traced contacts; in Mokokchung, one was a returnee/traveller, and one was a frontline worker.

After investigating the three fatalities recorded on Saturday, the health department announced that all three were infected with COVID. The death toll now stands at 98.
The state currently has 679 active cases, while 15 people infected with the virus have so far been recovered from the disease during the day taking the tally of recoveries to 12132.

According to reports, 1, 80,437 people were administered with the COVID vaccine.
