A video has surfaced on social media where a wife of an unnamed Indian Army soldier makes a set of requests to the Narendra Modi-led Indian Government in view of the escalating tensions between India and Pakistan.
The video was uploaded after it was revealed that a Wing Commander of the IAF, Abhinandan Varthaman, was in Pakistan custody after his MiG 21 crashed on the wrong side of the LoC. Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan has now announced that he will be released on March 1 as a "gesture of peace".
“On behalf of all the families of all the armed forces, I request all my fellow Indians and the political leaders not to politicize the sacrifice of our soldiers. It takes so much to be a soldier and just imagine the kind of tension and pain the family of Abhinandan is going through. So please at least until such a time when the tension is eased at the Indo-Pak border stop your political rallies. And don’t you dare to snatch away the credit of our soldiers. Please stop counting your tickets and stop playing your politics here”, she said.
“You have enough time to play your politics, but not at this time and not at the cost of our soldiers’ sacrifice. It is my request to the political leaders and especially the BJP political leaders”, she added.
