GUWAHATI: The Minister of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) and Tourism and Culture, G. Kishan Reddy congratulates Saikhom Mirabai Chanu, India’s first Tokyo Olympic 2020 medallist on winning a silver medal in women’s 49 kg weightlifting on July 24.
Welcoming Chanu on her return to India, in a congratulatory message, Minister G. Kishan Reddy said, "I extend my heartiest congratulations to Padmashree Saikhom Mirabai Chanu on winning the Olympic silver medal for India in weight-lifting. It brings me immense pride to see our daughters doing Maa Bharti proud. Mirabai has won the hearts of every Indian by standing on the pedestal and wearing the silver medallion around her neck."
