After the second outrage in a week, Facebook said that issues that blocked access to its apps and services for some users have been fixed.
The problems, which lasted around two hours on Friday, came days after the social media giant suffered a six-hour outage triggered by an error during routine maintenance on its network of data centres.
On Friday, some users were unable to load their Instagram feeds, while others were not able to send messages on Facebook Messenger.
“We’re aware that some people are having trouble accessing our apps and products. We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible and we apologise for any inconvenience,” Facebook said in a tweet.

Shortly after sometime, the firm announced the issues had been fixed.
Facebook, Instagram and Messenger were all affected by what Facebook described as “a configuration change that affected people globally”.
It said it was not connected to Monday’s outage.
The outage on Monday, lasting around five hours blocked access to apps for billions of users of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.
