Gideon Kithan, 7-year-old guitar shredder from Nagaland, goes viral

DIMAPUR: It has been known for some time that the Northeast region of India is a rich repository of talent, therefore it has come as no surprise that yet another young musician from the region is winning hearts on the internet.

Gideon Kithan, a 7-year-old guitarist from Dimapur in Nagaland has emerged as a viral sensation at the turn of the year,

A short video of Gideon performing a bridal march along with his band ‘The Cousins’ at a maternal uncle’s wedding has been uploaded on social media and is winning much love on the internet.

The video, originally posted on the ‘Naga Hills’ page has racked up over 8,000 views in a short time, with netizens commending him for his tune and cuteness.

Gideon has his own Facebook and Instagram pages, where he has over a thousand followers each. He has uploaded several videos of his guitar shredding on his social media, accruing thousands of views.

As of now, the youngster is mostly playing Christian devotional music. He has wrapped up 2021 with a rendition of a devotional tune by Christian artist Don Moen.
