Manipur: 16 gold rods seized in Imphal

A joint team of officers of the Anti-Smuggling Unit and Custom Division seized 16 gold rods of foreign origin, weighing 2,651 grams and worth Rs.79.90 lakh from Khoyathong Traffic Point on Wednesday.

Two individuals, identified as Gurpreet Singh and Jograj, were arrested in connection with the seizure. The gold was recovered from a hidden chamber of two stroller bags that were to be taken to Delhi.
