Golden Girl of Mizoram Lalremsiami to lead Indian National Hockey Team

AIZAWL: Another milestone for Northeasterners, India's national team will play under the captainship of the Mizo Olympian, Lalremsiami Zote.

She is selected for Indian national team to play for Women's FIH Hockey Junior World Cup at Potchefstroom, South Africa which is set to commence on December 5,2021 till 16, December. India's national team will play under the captainship of Mizoram Golden Girl.

Apart from Siami, another mizo girl Marina Lalramnghaki from Kawnpui have also been selected in the national team. She will be playing alongside with the 18 member World Cup squad. Marina is a resident of Kawnpui, a town from the same district as Siami Zote.

The FIH Hockey Junior World Cup which will be played from 5th Decemeber will witness 16 top hockey teams from across the globe. The world cup was previously won by Argentina in 2016.
