The Naga People's Front (NPF) has alleged that Nagaland Governor R N Ravi, and not Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, is the one running the show in Nagaland.

The allegations surfaced after the Nagaland Governor directed Nagaland police to "register a criminal case, seize the guns and arrest the culprits" after videos of an NSCN leader and his bride brandishing war-grade weapons at the
Naga People’s Front (NPP) spokesperson Achumbemo Kikon made this accusation in reaction to the Governor's and stated that this is something that is worrying the opposition party.

While addressing the press in Kohima on Friday, Kikon said "We would like to question who is running the show, who is running the government".
The NPF spokesperson also added that the direct interference of the Governor in the workings of the State Government means that the elected Government is not able to perform its duties. He further alleged that the Government has imposed something like 'President's Rule' in the State.
The Nagaland police on Tuesday registered a case against the couple who had gained notoreity by brandishing automatic assault rifles during their marriage ceremony in Dimapur on Saturday evening, reports said.
The couple in question, Bohoto Kiba, the son of the Kilo Kilonser (home minister) of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Unification (NSCN-U), and his wife, had brandished military-grade assault rifles during their wedding ceremony on Saturday. The photos, which were circulated online on WhatsApp groups, caused ‘shock’ and ‘awe’ among the netizens.
