Govt says lemon-baking soda COVID cure a hoax; cautions people against fake news

NEW DELHI: Taking note of a hoax on the social media, the Centre has stated that there was no scientific proof that lemon and baking soda can cure COVID-19.

On social media, there is a hoax viral that claims lemon combined with baking soda will cure COVID-19.

The government has clarified that there was no scientific evidence that lemon and baking soda can cure COVID 19.

The government has warned that such unscientific fake news should not be believed.

Union minister of state for development of North Eastern region Jitendra Singh also confirm by tweeting: “A fake news is being circulated on social media claiming that lemon mixed with baking soda can cure Covid-19. Taking note of it, the govt clarifies that there is no scientific evidence that lemon and baking soda can cure #COVID19”.
