GUJARAT: In a tragic incident, a truck rammed into a hut in Amreli district of Gujarat on Monday killing 8 people and injuring two others who were sleeping in it.
Followed by the accident, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has announced a Rs 4 lakh ex gratia for the victims' family members.
Reportedly, the incident took place around 2:30 am in Badhada village
There were two children aged 8 and 13 and two senior citizens among the people who died. The two injured children aged 3 and 7 were rushed to the Amreli hospital for treatment.

According to police, the truck driver lost control after dozing off for a while and rammed into the hut where 10 people were 10 people were sleeping.
The deceased were identified as Pujaben Solanki (8), Lakshmiben Solanki (30), Shukanben Solanki (13), Hemrajbhai Solanki (37), Narshibhai Sankhla (60), Navdhanbhai Sankhla (65), Virambhai Rathod (35), and Lalabhai Rathod (20), the police added in a report.
