BJP lawmaker Hema Malini started her campaign on Sunday surrounded by golden harvests in a farm in Mathura as she bids to win a second term from the Mathura Constituency.
The actor-turned-politician uploaded pictures on microblogging platform Twitter with a sickle in hand, while wearing a golden sari which matched her background.
“Began my Lok Sabha campaign... with the Govardhan Kshetra, where I had the opportunity to interact with women working in the fields...", she wrote.
Meanwhile, the ‘mahagathbandhan’ politicians have alleged that the battle for the Lok Sabha seat will be between “outsider” Malini and a local ‘Brijwasi’ as Malini owns a house in Mumbai.
It may be mentioned that Malini filed her nomination papers after puja led by Yogi Adityanath in Mathura on March 25. Hema will be contesting against the Rashtriya Lok Dal’s Kunwar Narendra Singh.
