NEW DELHI: The first case of Green fungus has been found in Madhya Pradesh's Indore, after reports of black, white and yellow fungus cases across the country.
A 34-year-old COVID-19 survivor in Indore was found to be sick with green fungus and was flown to Mumbai for treatment by air ambulance.
According to the sources, the patient was treated with Covid for around two months. He returned home and began to have nosebleeds and a fever after around 10-15 days. We discovered that he is infested with 'Green Fungus' when he came in for tests, Doctor said.

Even after AIIMS Director Randeep Guleria warned against generating "confusion" with fungus colours last month, 'Green Fungus' is the newest ailment to join prior recorded occurrences of black, white and yellow fungus.
According to Dr Ravi Dosi, chairman of the Department of Chest Diseases at Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences (SAIMS) in Indore, the newest disease is Aspergillosis and additional research on the fungus is needed.
Aspergillosis affects the lung and it is rather uncommon infection.
