Punjab 8th May:
An Indian Air Force aircraft airborne on a training mission in the early hours of the day has crashed near Jalandhar. The pilots ejected before the plane went down in the Rurkee Kalan village in Punjab, as reported initially. The squadron of the MiG-29 air crafts to which the aircraft belonged is based in Adampur town near Jalandhar.
"On 08 May 20, at 1045h, one Mig-29 aircraft airborne on a training mission from an Air Force base near Jalandhar met with an accident. The pilot has been rescued by a helicopter. A Court of Inquiry has been ordered to investigate the cause of the accident", Air Force issued a statement.
