Indian Army Jawan, Naik Rajib Thapa, was martyred during the ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Jammu & Kashmir on Friday.
The Jawan, aged 34, was killed in the Nowshera sector of Jammu & Kashmir’s Rajouri district.
Naik Rajib Thapa, who hails from Mechpara village in Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal, is left behind by his wife, Khusbu Mangar Thapa.

Following the recent scrapping of Article 370 in Jammu & Kashmir, the Pakistan Army has engaged itself in ceasefire violation in the Poonch and Rajouri areas.
On August 20, Naik Ravi Ranjan Kumar Singh was martyred in the exchange of fire between Pakistan Army and Indian Army in Mendhar Sector in Poonch.
On August 17, Lance Naik Sandeep Thapa, aged 35, was martyred in J&K’s Nowshera sector. He was in service for the last 15 years.
According to official reports, heavy damage to Pakistan Army posts and casualties to Pakistan soldiers has been inflicted by the troops of the Indian Army.
