GUWAHATI: As the nation marches closer to the historic landmark of 75 years of independence, the "Victory Run" (cross country) was held in Guwahati today to celebrate 75 years of India's independence, also termed as ‘Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav’.
As many as 75 serving and veteran Indian Army took part in the Run.

The run aimed to spread awareness of the spirit of freedom of movement to a broader audience and to use this opportunity to highlight the continued service of the Indian Army to the country.
Besides Guwahati, the victory run was also organised at Delhi, Chandigarh, Bhopal, and Thiruvananthapuram simultaneously.
Major General Vikas Saini, General Officer Commanding 51 Sub Area, flagged off the run as a tribute and appreciation to the sacrifices, resistance, and indomitable spirit of our freedom fighters.
