Guwahati-based independent digital media house, INSIDENE (Inside Northeast) has officially announced the second edition of its flagship event – INSIDENE YOUTH CONCLAVE 2019, on November 30, Saturday, at Pragjyotish ITA Centre in the city.

INSIDENE Youth Conclave 2019 is an amalgamation of some of the senior most leaders, experts and newsmakers of the country. The second edition will have Panel Discussions on the recent developments in the Northeast.

Advisor of INSIDENE, Pranay Bordoloi briefed about the upcoming event. “The Conclave features some of the leading political figures of the Northeast – Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, Assam Minister of Finance, Health & Family Welfare Himanta Biswa Sarma, Tripura Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma, Manipur Deputy Chief Minister Y Joykumar Singh, Assam Minister of Education Siddhartha Bhattacharya and many more dignitaries will be present at the Conclave on November 30,” he said.

Nagaland Minister of Higher & Technical Education Temjen Imna Along, Senior Congress Leader Jairam Ramesh, Indigenous People’s Leader Pradyot Manikya, Rajya Sabha MP Biswajit Daimary, Founder & Editor, Eastern Sentinel, Arunachal Pradesh Jarpum Gamlin, Lok Sabha MP, Mizoram, C Lalrosanga and MLA Arunachal Pradesh, Ninong Ering are some of the main Speakers of the day-long event.

The aim of the INSIDENE Youth Conclave is to provide a platform to leaders and experts in order to connect with the youth and discuss current and contemporary issues of the region.

The purpose is also to shed light on the future of the Northeastern States, with special emphasis on boosting trade, sports, tourism, entrepreneurship and cinema.

Renowned Filmmaker Jahnu Barua, Assam Olympic Association's General Secretary, Lakhya Konwar,Shillong Lajong FC Owner Larsing Ming, Mizoram Football Association's Secretary, Lalnghinglova Hmar (Tetea) will be featuring at the Sports and Film Tourism Panel at the Conclave. Advisor of Naga Mothers’ Association, Rosemary Dzuvichu will also be discussing women’s role in Politics.

Founding Editor, The Wire, Siddharth Varadrajan, Political Editor of WION, Editor-in-Chief, The Shillong Times, Journalist-Author Sangeeta Barooah Pisharoty and Political Satirist Akash Banerjee will also be joining the Youth Conclave to discuss on New Media as the voice of democracy.

Editor-in-Chief of INSIDENE, Afrida Hussain opines, “INSIDENE Youth Conclave began with the motive of connecting the youth to the leaders of the region. The reason behind the varied subjects is that we aim to inform the youth about their opinions on the current and contemporary issues. This year also we have tried to bring leaders and learned under one roof and discuss issues that are of Northeast importance.”

INSIDENE has initiated the second edition of the INSIDENE Youth Conclave with the support of Assam State Level Advisory Committee, Star Cement, Brikolite, Hyundai, Everyday Salt, Bhogali Jalpan, Novotel, SRSG, NewsX and NE NEWS. On the spot registration will be available for the event at the Pragjyotish ITA Centre, Guwahati.
