Premier full service international airline, Jet Airways announced its plans to expand its presence in the Northeast and make Guwahati its regional gateway for the region. Apart from this, Jet Airways have taken a initiative to form a part of Jet Airways to strengthen its domestic footprint of 45 cities in the country complementing its three hubs at Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru.
This measure will not only boost connectivity from the selected cities but also to enable greater number of guests to experience the airlines acclaimed and well differentiated product and service portfolio. It will also help in stimulating trade and commerce in the entire Northeastern region comprising the seven states. Strengthening the connectivity between the country's capital and the Northeastern region, Jet Airways introduces non-stop services from Aizawl, Jorhat and Silchar from New Delhi and Aizawl, New Delhi and Jorhat and also connecting Mumbai to Jorhat for three days a week.
The Chief Executive Officer of Jet Airways Vinay Dubey addressing a press conference in Guwahati today said that “I am sure our unique and differentiated services will reinforce Jet Airways place as the airline of choice in Indian skies, besides giving an impetus to connectivity trade and development in all the cities in the Northeast, including Aizawl, Jorhat, Silchar, Imphal and Guwahati".
Among the other developments, network enhancements will be done from
summer 2018 to connect the holy city of Amritsar with non-stop and
direct flights from its hubs in Mumbai and Bengaluru for the first
time.
