As the of covid-19 cases increase in Sikkim, The monastery Lingdum or Ranka , Sikkim closes its doors for everyone till 1st December.
The monastery commitee stated "there is more chances of getting threat especially to our elders and young monks who are staying at Monestery.

Therefore as a preventive measure the Zurmang Lingdum Monestery will be closed to all the visitors both local and foreigner till 1st December of this year
Lingdum or Ranka Monastery is a fairly new addition to Sikkim’s vast repertoire of Buddhist monasteries.
It certainly takes away the prize for being the most picturesque of all.
The Lingdum Monastery is about 16 km away from the main city of Gangtok, in a small village called Ranka.
