Lost and Found: Madhya Pradesh Minister's Brother Goes Missing, Traced in Tripura

Agartala, March 1, 2020:

In a major success, Tripura Police successfullya traced the missing brother of Madhya Pradesh Minister Sukdev Panse here in Agartala.

The person, identified as Amit Gaikowad, was reportedly traced in Amtali Baishnabpur area under Amtali Police station. Later, he was taken into safe custody from Agartala Railway station while heading towards Sabroom.

Speaking to this reporter, Siddhartha Shankar, the OC of Amtali police station said that a missing complaint was lodged in the Madhabnagar police station under Kathni district of Madhya Pradesh.

The Officer-in-charge of Madhabnagar police station tracked his activities in Tripura and accordingly asked for cooperation from the Tripura police, he added.

"I was informed through WhatsApp about his location. His location was fluctuating between Amtali and Battala. Finally, we were successful in tracing him at the Agartala Railway station. He was trying to board a train headed to Sabroom. As per initial investigation, it had been understood that he had no idea as to how he reached Tripura", the police officer said.

Upon being asked on his mental condition, the officer said that the person is fit and fine and holds a very senior post in a private company. After he has been offered safe custody, he talked to his family members and associates over phone. As per the available details he stayed at Hotel Ramji Palace Battala, the police sources told us.
