IMPHAL: BJP President JP Nadda today announced the 80-member National Executive of the party. The 80-member list also includes Minister for Public Works, Power, RD & PR, Information & Public Relations, Administrative Reforms, Textiles, Commerce & Industry of Manipur- Thongju Biswajit Singh.
The Thongju MLA has been appointed as one of the National Executive Committee member. Informing the same, Singh tweeted, “Honoured & Grateful to Hon'ble National President Shri @JPNadda

Ji fr appointing me as National Executive Committee member. I express my gratitude to senior leaders for continuous guidance & blessings.”
Besides 80 regular members, the executive will also have 50 special invitees and 179 permanent invitees.
This deliberative body meets to discuss key issues facing the government and shapes the party’s agenda.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this meeting could not take place.

Meanwhile, BJP MP Varun Gandhi, who has been speaking in support of farmers during their ongoing stir against the three agri laws, his MP mother Maneka Gandhi and former Union minister Birender Singh, who has also been supportive of the agitation, have been dropped as executive members.
