Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh inaugurated five different projects apart from laying the foundation stone for 46 others under different Departments in a function held at Chief Minister’s Secretariat Complex today. The total estimated cost of these projects was Rs. 180 crores.

Speaking at the occasion, Singh said that the State Government is giving priority to development of hill areas because hill districts are less developed as compared with valley districts. Nowadays, the Chief Minister said, it is encouraging to see that there is less disturbance in taking up developmental projects in hill areas.
