Manipur CM takes stock of COVID-19 vaccination camp at Ima market

IMPHAL: Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh on Friday inspected the vaccination camp at the iconic all women Ima market.

During this visit, the Chief Minister discussed the plan to vaccinate every woman vendor so that the market can be opened soon.

"I'm glad that the Imas will also take up the responsibility to encourage their family members to get the vaccine at earliest", he added.

The Deputy Commissioner of Imphal West had earlier notified to all the vendors of the three Ima Markets and the Temporary Market at Khwairamband Bazar about the COVID-19 vaccination camp will continue on July 10.

Reportedly, only vaccinated vendors or vendors who are regularly tested negative for COVID-19 will be allowed to sit in the said markets when markets reopen as directed by the state government.
