A delegation led by former Manipur Chief Minister and CLP Leader O Ibobi Singh, along with a delegation of MLAs, met Doraisamy Raja, the MP and National General Secretary of CPI today at the Head Office of CPI party in New Delhi.
The Congress MLAs requested the leader to extend all the possible help to raise the issues in the Parliament, and to protect the territorial integrity of Manipur in the face of the ongoing Naga Peace Accord, and not to re-introduce the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) again.
Interacting with D Raja, he also seriously looked into the memorandum submitted by the CLP leader. Raja reportedly "supports" the points that were raised and he assured the delegation that he will raise the issues in the Parliament.
It may be mentioned here that the team from Manipur, lead by former Manipur Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh, and several MLAs, reached Delhi on Wednesday to seek answers from the topmost layer of the BJP leadership, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Home Minister Amit Shah.
