Manipur’s Imphal East Police and CDO/IE team on Tuesday jointly apprehended a drug peddler, along with suspected contraband Heroine (no. 4 powder) at around 2:30 pm.
Reportedly, a normal frisking and checking at Heikhrumakhong near Masjid in Imphal East district was carried out by a team of Imphal East Police and CDO/IE team under the supervision of Additional SP/IE Th. Krishnatombi Singh.

On checking, a suspected drug peddler identified as Mohammad Salim (aged 26), carrying a black polybag was detained and searched, and the belongings he was carrying, after giving due legal options, were also searched.
After the search, the police found substances suspected to be contraband Heroin No. 4 powder packed in 20 soap caps and two mobile phones.

The sampling of the found substances suspected to be contraband Heroin No. 4 powder was done at the spot.
The apprehended drug peddler, along with the seized contraband drugs, has been handed over to the Heingang Police Station for further legal proceedings.
