The Assam Rifles and Manipur Police have jointly arrested a suspected cadre of the banned militant outfit Kangleipak Yawal Kanna Lub or Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) in Kakching district of Manipur.
Based on specific inputs regarding the presence of a KYKL cadre in in Kakching district, a joint operation was launched by the security forces during which, the cadre was arrested from Kakching’s Wangoo Tera area on December 2. KYKL is a conglomeration of splinter groups of various Imphal valley-based outfits.

The accused have been identified as Thouchom Joy, alias Rockey. He hails from Lamka Manipuri Basti of Nagaon district in Assam.

The arrested ultra has been handed over to Wangoo Police Station.
Further investigation is on.
