IMPHAL: A total of 130 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Manipur over the past 24 hours, the highest single-day spike in the second wave of the pandemic.
With this, the cumulative number of cases in the state went up to 30,281.
Of the new cases, three are Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) personnel while the remaining 130 are civilians.
As many as 50 new cases were reported from Imphal West district, 30 from Kakching, 23 from Imphal East, seven from Bishnupur, five each from Ukhrul and Chandel, three from Kangpokpi while Churandchandpur and Thoubal districts recorded two cases each.

On the other hand, two persons succumbed to the disease yesterday, taking the death toll in the state to 383.
