IMPHAL: Manipur recorded 15 COVID-19 related deaths and 579 fresh coronavirus cases over the past 24 hours.
This is the highest single-day death toll in the state so far.
On May 6, 13 people had succumbed to the disease.

Of the new positive patients, 571 are civilians and eight are Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) personnel.
Of the new positive cases, Imphal West alone reported 197 cases, followed by Imphal East 191, Thoubal 42, Bishnupur 34, Kakching 37, Ukhrul six, Churachandpur 40, Chandel one, Senapati and Tamegnlong two each, Kangpokpi eight, Tengnoupal five, and Kamjong and Noney three each.
On the other hand, as many as 135 people recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours.

Manipur has so far recorded a total of 35,354 COVID-19 positive cases, including 31,696 civilians and 3,658 personnel from security forces.
The state at present have 4280 active cases while a total of 30,598 people have recovered from the disease so far in the state.
Meanwhile, a total of 2.65 lakh people have been inoculated in the state stor far.
