IMPHAL: Five more COVID-19 patients died in Manipur and 146 new cases were reported in the state in the past 24 hours. It is the largest number of deaths recorded in a day since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic's second wave.
The most recent deaths were reported in Imphal East, Imphal West, Churachandpur, and Thoubal districts.
With the fresh fatalities, the total number of deaths connected with COVID-19 in the state has now reached 390.

The fresh cases also included seven air passengers.
With this, the COVID tally in the state reached 30,567.
The number of active cases from around the state has risen to 910.
Among the new positive cases, Imphal West is on top with 72 cases, followed by Imphal East (42), Ukhrul (11), Bishnupur, and Kakching, each with 5 cases, Kangpokpi and Thoubal, each with 4 cases, Chandel with two, and Tengnoupal one.
