Mon, October 7, 2019:

All Manipur Students’ Union (AMSU) of Kakching District has announced to launch all forms of agitation with the support of AMSU Headquarters, demanding immediate allotment of required resources in the District Hospital.

Secretary, AMSU Headquarters, Prabin Moirangthem said, “With the support of AMSU Headquarters and public, the students’ body will launch a mass agitation if the concerned department does not provide the required resources in the District Hospital Kakching at the earliest possible time.”

At a press meet organized by All Manipur Students’ Union, Kakching District Committee, Prabin Moirangthem further said that District Hospital Kakching functions without a single ambulance after it was upgraded from a CHC Kakching and that it lacks basic facilities.

“In addition to this, there is not a single specialist doctor in the hospital,” he alleged and urged the concerned department to do the needful as soon as possible to lessen the miseries of the public.

“The downtrodden and poor families who cannot afford to pay more and avail treatment from specialist doctors are the worst suffering ones. The basic issue faced by the public while coming to the district hospital for treatment is poor roads dotted with numbers of potholes starting from Kakching market,” Moirangthem added.
