Manipur: 18 Doctors found covid positive in JN Institute of Medical science

In a very alarming situation in Manipur-with rapid increase of daily positive cases of Covid 19 in the state.

There comes a shocking and indeed a serious concern for the state health system that 18 Doctors of Jawaharlal Nehru Insititure of Medical sciences are found covid positive on 16th October.

JNMS is among the only two major govt hospital in Manipur where covid 19 positive patients are given treatment.

So far no separate covid ward are opened in any Private hospitals.

During the last few days - there is an increase in the no.ofpositive cases - more than 100 per day.

Manipur records the highest ever spike of 377 cases in the last 24 hrs.

The report of such a high number of frontline health workers raises more concern.

The govt and concern authorities must retrospect as soon as possible and check if there is any lack of quality on the PPE used by the health workers in the Hospital or Any lapse of SOPs.
