IMPHAL: Two-women, suspected to be drug dealers, have been arrested by the Manipur Police from the Yairipok post office area in Imphal, yesterday.
Police also recovered 5 kgs of opium and other belongings from their possession.
The arrested women were identified as Sagolshem Subadhani Devi (50) and Sagolshem Mema Devi (48).
A case has been registered against the accused women under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

Further investigation on this matter is underway.
Earlier in January this year another duo of women drug peddlers-- Ng Toroni and Shangshang -- were arrested with 259 grams of brown sugar by the Manipur police.
Later, the arrested women were handed over to Kakching police station for further necessary legal action and a case was registered against them.
