Mega umbrella rally in Gangtok

Gangtok (Sikkim), Aug 8, 2018

The Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) organised a unique “umbrella rally” here on Tuesday.

Thousands of ruling SDF members participated in the rally, along with people from Arithang, Upper Burtuk Tadong Gangtok and Shyari constituencies.

The rally is part of the SDF’s campaign for 2019 Lok Sabha election as the party’s last central executive meeting of the party held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Pawan Chamling had decided to the campaign early.

Umbrella is SDF’s symbol.
