SHILLONG: Meghalaya deputy chief minister Prestone Tynsong today said that the state board’s Class XII examinations will be held as per schedule, following all COVID-19 protocol.
He said the state government has directed all the concerned authorities to ensure strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols.
On the other hand, Tynsong said the state government is waiting for an update of the review conducted by additional chief secretary D P Wahlang, in charge of education, for holding Class X examinations.

Meanwhile, the state government urged the parents not to panic and allow their wards to appear in the examinations scheduled to begin on April 16.
Tynsong said anyone coming from outside the Northeast, including those returning from Kumbh Mela, will have to produce COVID negative certificate to enter the state.
