Meghalaya CM Submits Detailed Proposals to Kiren Rijiju in Regards to Hosting of National Games 2022

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma submitted detailed proposals to Union Minister Kiren Rijiju in connection with the hosting of the 39th National in Meghalaya.
Taking to Twitter, Sangma stated that the Department of Sports, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, has been proactive and supportive to provide adequate thrust to the State for building infrastructure.
The Meghalaya CM also informed via Twitter that on the representatives from the Meghalaya Government also discussed the infrastructure that is being proposed for the upcoming National Games, which will be held in 2022. "Looking forward for full support from India Sports to develop the environment to host the prestigious games", he said.
Earlier this year in June, Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sport, Rijiju after a meeting with the Meghalaya Chief Minister regarding the National Games, took to social media platform Twitter to announce his meeting with the Meghalaya Chief Minister.
Rijiju had tweeted: “Glad to meet the dynamic chief Minister of Meghalaya Conrad Sangma ji and his Minister colleagues. We discussed about various issues including the coming National Games 2022 to be held in Meghalaya for which we are determined to make it best ever!”
It may be mentioned that the State animal clouded leopard is chosen to be the mascot for the National Games 2022, which will coincide with the 50th year of the creation of the State.
