Guwahati, February 5, 2019:

In a sensational revelation, question papers meant for the Meghalaya Teachers Eligibility Test (MTET) were leaked much prior to the scheduled date and time of the examination. The MTET exams are conducted for recruitment of teachers in LP and UP schools. Much before the exam, photos of the question paper had flooded social media.

Reacting to the late orders by the administration, Sofiur Rahman, Member of District Council of Balachanda Constituency, has demanded the Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad Sangma, for a CBI inquiry in the sensational leakage of the MTET question papers.

Further, Rahman has said that these types of leakages should not harm the students. “The police must file a strict inquiry and search for the main culprit soon”, added Rahman.

Moreover, Sofiur Rahman has also targeted the department of MTET and further demanded the police to take them into custody for an inquiry regarding the leakage of the question papers.

It is to be mentioned that the Meghalaya police has constituted a Special Investigative Team (SIT) to probe leakage of the papers.
