Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Wednesday formally inaugurated the Northeast’s first and biggest Food Innovation Exhibition, the 'Northeast Food Show 2019', in capital city Shillong.
The 'Northeast Food Show 2019' is scheduled from December 4 to December 6. The event has been organized in collaboration with the SIAL Group, which is the world’s largest food innovation network.

Conrad Sangma also launched the new micro organic factory of Meg Tea during the Northeast Food Show in the state.
The Meghalaya CM posted pictures of the official inauguration of the event on his official Twitter handle, alongwith the caption “The biggest Northeast Food Innovation Exhibition is open now. We are confident that the show will establish a connection between states of the Northeast and open market globally. @KirenRijiju @Rameswar_Teli”
Conrad Sangma also shared a video of the micro organic factory of Meg Tea in his official Twitter handle.
It may be mentioned that an estimated 300 delegates from different countries and sectors will participate in the event, along with farmers, chefs, entrepreneurs and technology providers.
The focus of the food show is to create a global platform to “inspire food business” and entrepreneurship in Northeast India.

The mega food show will see representation from all the northeastern states, with their governments showcasing unique products, as well as national and international exhibitors, natural-herbal-organic producers, processing companies and will feature experience zones, Northeast Kitchen, conferences, chief minister’s conclave, chef wars, among other activities.
