Are you ready for the Meghalayan Age?
In case you are wondering what it is, it is a nine-day extravaganza fest conceived by the Meghalaya Government that seeks to promote the richness and beauty of the Northeast Indian state on the national and global arenas. Best of all, it will be held in the picturesque Thadlaskien area in the West Jaintia Hills, a place of exquisite beauty, later this year.
Now, the people planning a trip to the 'land of clouds' can enrich their experience by perusing through a compilation of stories of remarkable individuals of Meghalaya that was released by the CM, Conrad Sangma, earlier today.

Today, the Chief Minister held a Press Conference with officials from Meghalayan Tourism board to inform about the upcoming Meghalayan Age Festival. This first of its kind festival will offer a new age cultural experience that will be a paradigm shift and will create a new benchmark for the tourism sector in Meghalaya.
Meanwhile the Meghalaya Government has also launched a booklet containing stories from the lives of Meghalaya's inhabitants. "Tourism is about stories and people connect better to stories. We wanted to connect the stories of our people into the tourism aspect and therefore, we launched a preview to 'The Meghalayan'- a booklet which will be a compilation of stories of remarkable individuals of Meghalaya", the Chief Minister informed via his social media accounts.
