Mizoram: 80 students of three private schools test positive for COVID-19

AIZAWL: More than 200 people, including 80 students of three private schools in Aizawl, have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

According to an official statement, two more persons from Aizawl district have succumbed to the infection on Sunday night, taking the death toll to 479.

The single-day positivity rate increased to 19.31 per cent as the fresh cases were detected from 1,098 sample tests, it said.

A total of 509 people have recovered from the disease on Sunday, taking the total recoveries to 1,26,672, it said.

According to state health department, the state has so far tested 13.99 lakh samples for COVID-19.
