AIZAWL: Former Mizoram Cabinet Minister P C Zoram Sangliana has passed away at the Zoram Medical College in Aizawl today evening around 5:20 p.m.
The veteran Congress leader was admitted to Ebenezer hospital on April 14 due to a kidney problem and other major health problems.
He was later shifted to the government-run ZMC hospital after testing COVID-19 positive. A bulk of the cases in the state are being treated in the government hospital.

The former Kolasib MLA suffers from diabetes, chronic bronchitis, kidney transplant, and high blood pressure.
In 2013, P C Zoram Sangliana of Congress won the Kolasib seat by a margin of 595 votes (3.73%).
He also featured prominently in the protests against the contentious Citizenship (Amendment) Act in Mizoram.
