AIZAWL: The state of Mizoram reported the highest single-day surge in COVID-19 cases on Tuesday.
According to the official data issued by the state government, a total of 807 people tested positive on July 19. Among the positives, over 150 children are children. Out of the 807, 234 were tested via ZMC RT-PCR, 63 via TrueNAT and 510 were tested via Rapid Antigen Test.

So far, the state has recorded a total of 28295 cases of Covid-19. Out of these, 6365 cases are active and the death has reached up to 125.
On Tuesday, Aizawl district reported the highest number of fresh cases at 550, followed by Lunglei (103), Kolasib (56), Lawngtlai (27), Mamit (23) and Champhai (20).
As per the data released on Tuesday afternoon, the recovery rate is 77.06 with 117 more patients discharged.
