AIZAWL: Mizoram today reported 233 new cases of COVID-19 pushing the total number of cases in the state to 19,324.
On the other hand, the state reported two new fatalities due to the infection during the day.
62 children are among the new cases while two fresh fatalities pushed the state's coronavirus death toll to 91, a health official said.
Aizawl district registered the highest number of new cases at 127, followed by Kolasib (41) and Lunglei (15).
Of the total news cases, only five new patients have travel history, while the rest of the patients have detected the infection during contact tracing.

Mizoram currently has 4,370 active cases of the infection, while 14,863 people have recovered from the infection so far, including 309 on Saturday.
The recovery rate among the COVID-19 patients in the state stands at 76.91 %, while the mortality rate is at 0.47%.
The state has so far tested over 4.76 lakh samples for COVID-19, including 3,575 in the last 24 hours.
The single-day positivity rate stands at 6.51%.
Over 4.9 lakh people have been administered the COVID vaccines till date, out of which 54,078 have received both doses of the vaccine.
