Mizoram reports 5 more COVID-19 deaths, 1302 fresh cases in 24 hours

AIZAWL: Mizoram in the last 24 hours reported five more deaths due to COVID-19 infection, taking the death toll to 341.

The capital city Aizawl had the highest number of fatalities in the state, with 253.

On the other hand, the state's COVID caseload has risen up to 1,02,629 with 1302 fresh cases of the infection being reported in the last 24 hours.

Aizawl has the most active cases (10,593), followed by Lunglei (1268) and Champhai (1184).

Among the news cases, 614 patients have developed symptoms of COVID-19.

The state currently has 16,075 active cases of infection.

Meanwhile, a total of 86,213 people infected with the infection have been recovered so far.

A total of 9,749 COVID-19 tests were done during the period.
