AIZAWL: Mizoram's COVID-19 tally has rose up to 9252 with 84 new cases of the infection being reported in the past 24 hours.
Of the total new cases, 82 were reported from Zoram Medical College’s RT-PCR laboratory, followed by four at TrueNat facilities, and 98 cases were reported through Rapid Antigen Test (RAT).
The new cases also include over 41 children, and a 10-month old baby is one among the positive patients.
According to reports, three patients have a travel history while 129 were diagnosed during touch tracing.

The remaining 52 patients are being investigated to see how they contracted the virus.
Mizoram currently has 2,129, active cases of the infection while 7,094 people have recovered from the infection in the state so far.
At least 29 people infected with the disease had died in the state so far.
A total of 3,52,902 samples have been tested till date, and 2,34,249 people have been administered vaccination.
