MUMBAI: A new look of the former Indian captain MS Dhoni has gone viral on social media platforms. Dhoni's every move is closely watched by his devoted fans all over the world. Dhoni is currently in Chennai, where he has begun training for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season, which will begin on April 9 in Chennai.

Official Twitter account of Star Sports on Saturday posted a photo the former Indian team captain Dhoni dressed as a monk with no hair on his head.

The photo quickly went viral, leaving his fans guessing as to what the meaning of his new look might be.

In a video released by Star Sports' official Twitter account, Dhoni, who is known for surprising his fans with his 'reinventions', gave a sneak peek into his new look and revealed it to his fans by saying, "Kya hai iss avatar ke piche ka mantra, jaldi hi pata chalega" (You will soon come to know what this look means).

"Give us your best guess as to what this mantra is that he's talking about and keep watching this space for the reveal," Star Sports tweeted, urging fans to hazard a guess.

Now, let us reveal what the new look is all about.

Dhoni's latest look is expected to be for a new IPL 14 commercial ad, which will be held entirely in India across six cities.

His many looks, as well as his hairstyles, have struck a chord with the audience. As a result, his fans are eager to learn more about the monk look.

The former Indian captain, who retired from international cricket with 17,266 runs, three ICC titles, 634 catches, and 195 stumpings, is preparing to lead Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL 2021 after they finished seventh in the previous season, which was held in the United Arab Emirates.

On April 10, the Chennai Super Kings will play against Delhi Capitals in Mumbai to begin their season. In IPL 2021, none of the eight teams will play in front of home supporters, so Dhoni's team will not play at home in Chepauk.
