MU stir enters 76th day

Imphal (Manipur), August 13:

The ongoing agitation in Manipur University (MU), being staged by Manipur University Students’ Union (MUSU) and Manipur University Teachers’ Association (MUTA) demanding the ouster of vice chancellor Prof Adya Prasad Pandey, entered the 76th day on Monday.

The day coincided with the observance of 127th Patriots’ Day. It is observed in memory of the heroes of Manipur who fought against the British during the Anglo-Manipuri war.

Observing the day, leaders of Manipur Students’ Union, MUSA, and MUTA paid floral tribute to the patriots. The organisations committed to sustain the spirit of sacrifice for freedom and reignite the bond of unity among all in Manipur University in particular and Manipur in general.
