KOHIMA: Five districts in Nagaland including Dimapur, Phek, Wokha, Longleng and Peren have reported a surge in positivity rate compared to the previous week, stated the health department.
In the past week, a total of 640 cases and 18 deaths were reported in the state, said the health department.
The overall weekly sample positivity rate has remained at 8% for the last two weeks.

The health department further stated that for the last 5 weeks, the state has shown no decline in admissions in COVID-19 hospitals especially in Dimapur and Kohima.
The department expressed concern over possibility of more undetected cases circulating in the community.
Diabetes and hypertension remain the most common associated comorbidities among COVID-19 deaths in the state, it said further.
In the past week 69,599 COVID-19 vaccine doses were administered to the citizens taking the total doses to 7.29 lakhs.
