Kohima, January 12, 2020:

Nagaland Governor RN Ravi has directed the Director General of Police (DGP) and Inspector General (IG) of Assam Rifles to take the most stringent actions against such extortionists.

Ravi was on an inspection to review the status and progress of construction work of all the roads that were being upgraded. He discovered that the work was progressing at a slow pace and the quality was not upto the mark. The reason for slow progress of the roads, which are being upgraded under the Central government schemes, was extortion.
