To ensure that the Governor’s Secretariat is in tune with the Digital India programme and that Government services are made available to citizens electronically, the Governor of Nagaland, PB Acharya today launched the E-Governance project and mobile app of Raj Bhavan Kohima Addressing the launch programme, the Governor called upon the other Departments of the State to implement the Digital India Programme for the welfare of the people. Principal Secretary to the Governor of Nagaland, Piyush Goyal, IAS, stated that the Government of India, with an aim to transform the entire ecosystem of public services through the use of information technology launched the Digital India programme to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. He informed that the Governor’s Secretariat with assistance from the department of IT&C has computerized various systems including inventory management, record management, GPF record management for Raj Bhavan Grade IV staff, etc. He further stated that the officers have undergone training to properly implement these applications. The Raj Bhavan, Nagaland application for Android will be available for download from the home page of the Raj Bhavan website (www.rajbhavan.nagaland.gov.in.). The app will have a 360 degree virtual tour of the Raj Bhavan which has been created with the help of the GIS, Nagaland.
The app will also feature the history of Raj Bhavan, former Governors, Governors profile, speeches, press releases and other information related to Raj Bhavan Nagaland. The launching programme was attended by Commissioner & secretary IT&C, Shri KD Vizo, ITS, Officers of IT&C and officers from Raj Bhavan.
