After the announcement of lockdown in some states, particularly in Delhi, the advisory of Nagaland Government to all District Task Forces (DTF) to implement “urgent measures” to combat the risk of COVID-19 as well as the order to close all schools up to Class VIII, heightened fears.

Meanwhile, there were reports of people flocking to Dimapur's market places yesterday to stock up on food. Customers have reported a slight increase in the price of essential commodities.

The possibility of a lockdown was the most discussed topic on social media and other platforms. However, no announcement of a lockdown has been made by the state government or any DTF in Nagaland yet.
